Scope of works: OCS have been contracted to deliver the Structure for the new Brent Cross West Station for VolkerFitzpatrick. This station opened in the Q1 of 2023 and will be at the heart of the regeneration of the Brent Cross West development. The station consists of 2 island platforms situated between the high speed Midland Main Line between Hendon and Cricklewood, with a concourse at high level linked via pedestrian bridges to the West and East station buildings.

The construction programme is approx. 70 weeks and a challenging project logistically as all materials can only be delivered to the worksite in possession. The project was/will be built over 40 different abnormal possessions and working midweek days throughout. The platform construction is predominately a suspended precast structure sitting on steel tubular piles. Each platform is over 3500m² in area. The lift shafts on both platforms were constructed insitu and all concrete works were undertaking on days as OCS wrapped the structure in a scaffold to allow these works to continue on normal working days. This project highlights Oliver Connell’s in-house PTS workforce at their best, building one of London’s newest stations.
